Born in Morocco, Jeff Hamilton quickly emerged as a key figure in fashion. After studying mathematics and physics in Paris, he turned to fashion design, which led him to the United States, where he made an indelible mark.
As the first to license Guess men's jeans, Hamilton has spent nearly four decades in creation, becoming a fashion icon. Many celebrities wear his jackets, which are part of Hip-Hop, streetwear, and sportswear culture, including Jay-Z, Taylor Swift, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant. After working with Guess, he began designing leather jackets that were more than just clothing but rather works of art.
This marked the beginning of a nearly four-decade-long journey to become one of the most iconic jacket designers recognized by celebrities, athletes, and musicians worldwide. Jeff's career exploded in the early 90s as he had licensing deals with all major sports leagues. The legendary NBA championship jackets were the most recognizable, waiting in the locker room for Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls teammates as they won 6 titles.
This tradition continued with Tim Duncan and David Robinson with the Spurs, Kobe Bryant, Shaquille O'Neal, and later - LeBron James and Anthony Davis with the Lakers - to name a few. The NBA also honored Jeff by having him create the official team jackets for the 50th and 75th anniversaries. Jeff's custom and unique jackets began appearing everywhere. From Axl Rose in a Guns N' Roses video to Will Smith in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, there was no section of popular culture where his jackets did not appear.
You might also recognize one of Jeff's designs worn by Martin Lawrence in the intro to the iconic TV series Martin. He has a long-standing relationship with NASCAR and even created custom jackets for legendary driver Dale Earnhardt Sr. and American car designer Carroll Shelby. His A-List clientele is vast and has included Michael Jackson, Madonna, Mike Tyson, George Michael, Selena, and Muhammed Ali, to name a few. Jeff's designs and work continue to be highly sought after. Requests continuously pour in for licenses, collaborations, and unique custom art pieces. Current clients include Kevin Hart, Drake, Travis Scott, A$AP Rocky, Sprite, and Amazon Music. His connection with the careers of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant continues to be an essential part of Jeff's legacy as a designer.
